  • The manuscript has been submitted in Microsoft Word format, free of personal information or any other details that could compromise the anonymous peer review process.
  • The copyright transfer agreement has been submitted.
  • The authors' curriculum vitae (brief description) has been submitted.
  • The text conforms to the bibliographic and style requirements specified in the Author Guidelines, according to APA, 7th Edition.
  • Links to web pages or DOIs have been incorporated in the references whenever possible.
  • The total length of the article is between 10 and 15 pages, including notes, graphics, tables, illustrations, and bibliographic references.
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables are inserted in the text in the appropriate places, properly numbered, and not at the end of the document. Additionally, it should be specified whether they are original or obtained from another source.
  • All authors have been identified, the main author's email address has been added, and the ORCID of each author has been included. In the case of Colombian authors or those affiliated with Colombian universities, the link or curriculum vitae of the Cvlac must be added.

Requirements for Article Publication Manuscripts considered for the editorial process must be unpublished and comply with the requirements established in the Author Guidelines.

For the acceptance of any article, Onboard Knowledge requires adherence to the following rules in its drafting:

  • All articles must be submitted in Word format, single-column, single-spaced, and in Tahoma font size 11.
  • The total length of the article should range between 10 and 15 pages, including notes, graphics, tables, illustrations, and bibliographic references.
  • Bold should be used for titles and subtitles of sections. Italics, not quotation marks, should be used to highlight key terms within the text.
  • Bold is reserved exclusively for titles and subtitles, including those of figures, graphics, or tables. Indentation should not be used at the beginning of paragraphs.
  • It is crucial that when the article includes tables, images, or figures, they are placed exactly where they are considered relevant, never as appendices. The original files from which these elements have been extracted (whether in Excel or another program) must be submitted. In the case of images, they must have a resolution of 300 dpi, and sources must be indicated.
  • Notes should be placed at the bottom of the page, numbered consecutively, in 9-point single-spaced Tahoma font. They should only be used when strictly necessary to complement or expand on information. Excessive use of footnotes should be avoided.
  • Page 1 should include the title of the article in Spanish and English; the full name of the author or authors along with their corresponding institutional affiliation, followed by the Abstract/Resumen and Keywords/Palabras clave.
  • This first page should also contain the name and funding source of the project that gave rise to the article, the email address of the corresponding author, the ORCID of all authors, and the link to the CVLAC.
  • Capitalization: To avoid incorrect or excessive use of capital letters, their use will be limited to cases contemplated by the RAE when the manuscript is in Spanish.
  • Mathematical formulas, tables, and graphics must be submitted in original editable formats, including the source of information and references according to the criteria established in the APA, 7th Edition.
  • Article Structure: Onboard Knowledge accepts manuscripts of three types: 1) research articles, 2) reflection articles, and 3) bibliographic review articles.
  • In research articles, the presented works must follow the IMRaD structure (I = Introduction; M = Methods; R = Results; D = Discussion and Conclusions).

  • References: Should be pertinent and used in the article, presented alphabetically and according to APA, 7th Edition standards.

2. Review Articles: Critical and constructive analysis based on the synthesis of existing literature, with at least 60 updated references:

Title: Concise and descriptive, not starting with verbs or prepositions, and in both languages.

Abstract: Maximum of 250 words, including objectives, review methodology, main findings, and conclusions. Avoid including quotes or abbreviations. Repeat keywords from the title to optimize searchability. Present in both Spanish and English.

  • Introduction: Contextualization and justification of the review.
  • Method: Details of the databases consulted, selection criteria, and information analysis methods.
  • Results: Organization of information into categories, establishing relationships and comparisons.
  • Discussions and Conclusions: Evaluation of the findings, their relevance, and suggestions for future research.
  • References: Directly related to the content, arranged alphabetically according to APA standards.

3. Include in-depth analysis and personal reflections of the author on the researched topic.
