Authorship policy

OnBoard Knowledge Journal adheres to the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) taxonomy to describe the individual contributions of each author to the work. The corresponding authors are responsible for providing the contributions of all authors. The editorial team expects all authors to have reviewed, discussed, and accepted their individual contributions. Contributions will be published with the final article and must faithfully reflect the contributions to the work.

Author Contributions

  • Conceptualization: Generation and development of ideas, formulation or evolution of the general goals and objectives of research.
  • Data Curation: Data management, including annotation (production of metadata), cleaning, and maintenance of research data (including software code, when necessary), both for initial use and for subsequent reuse.
  • Formal Analysis: Application of statistical, mathematical, computational, or other formal techniques to analyze or synthesize study data.
  • Funding Acquisition: Obtaining financial support for the project that leads to this publication.
  • Investigation: Conducting research process and experiments, specifically carrying out experiments or data/evidence collection.
  • Methodology: Development or design of methodology, creation of models.
  • Project Administration: Management and coordination of the planning and execution of the research activity.
  • Resources: Providing study materials, reagents, samples, patients, animals, instrumentation, and computer resources or other analytical tools.
  • Software: Programming, software development; designing computer programs; implementing computer code and support algorithms; testing existing code components.
  • Supervision: Leadership and supervision for the planning and execution of the research activity, including external mentorship to the core team.
  • Validation: Verification of activity or general replication/reproducibility of research results/experiments and other research findings.
  • Visualization: Preparation, creation, and presentation of the published work, specifically visualization/presentation of data.
  • Writing –Original Draft: Preparation, creation, and presentation of the published work, especially writing the initial draft (including substantive translation).
  • Writing – Review & Editing: Preparation, creation, and presentation of the published work by the original research group, specifically critical review, commentary, or revision, including pre- or post-publication stages.
  • Fund Acquisition: Involves securing the financial resources essential for the project's or article's execution, ensuring the necessary economic support for the research.
  • Project Management: Entails the effective coordination and administration of the project, ensuring that all phases of the research are carried out in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Resources: Refers to the provision and management of all materials and tools required for the research, including reagents, samples, equipment, software, and other technical resources.
  • Funding Sources: Involves identifying and securing the necessary funds from various sources, such as academic institutions, government entities, nonprofit organizations, or private companies, to support the research and publication of the article.

Authors are advised to carefully review the order of authors before submitting their manuscript for the first time. Any addition, deletion, or reordering of author names should be done before the manuscript has been accepted and only with the approval of the journal's editor. To request such a change, the corresponding author must send to the editor: a) the reason justifying the modification of the author list; and b) written confirmation (via email) from all authors agreeing to the addition, removal, or reordering. In the case of adding or removing an author, this includes confirmation from the author being added or removed.
