Open access policy

OnBoard Knowledge Journal offers immediate and open access to its content, following the principle of providing free research and promoting the continuous dissemination of knowledge. The costs associated with editorial management of the articles are covered by the Escuela Naval de Cadetes "Almirante Padilla," the journal’s publishing entity.

Open Access Model:

The journal adopts the diamond open access model, eliminating the need for authors or readers to make any payments, as publication is completely free and non-commercial. All articles published in OnBoard Knowledge Journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows for copying, redistribution, remixing, transformation, and building upon the material for any purpose, provided that the authorship is properly attributed, and the original publication in the journal is acknowledged. Additionally, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes to the material must be clearly indicated.

Access and Distribution:

All content in OnBoard Knowledge Journal is available online immediately and free of charge, with no restrictions on reading, downloading, viewing, copying, distributing, printing, searching, or linking to the full text. No registration is required to access the content, and no embargo periods are applied.

Publication Costs:

The journal does not charge fees for submission, evaluation, editorial processing, layout, or publication. There are no article processing charges (APCs) or costs for authors, readers, or reviewers.

Reusability and Distribution:

Articles can be used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows for use, copying, redistribution, and transformation of the material, provided that proper attribution to the authors and original source is made. Any third-party material not covered by this license will be clearly identified and attributed.

Self-Archiving:

Authors are allowed to deposit the published version of their article in repositories, institutional websites, or personal websites, provided they cite the original source and provide the DOI or link to the article.

Embargo:

No embargo periods are applied.
