Code of ethics

OnBoard Knowledge Journal is committed to following the highest ethical standards in its editorial work, guiding editors, authors, and reviewers in fulfilling their responsibilities. The editor will supervise the editorial process to ensure that inappropriate conduct violating the journal's ethical policies is not promoted and may consult the editorial board in case of any irregularity.

The ethical policies of OnBoard Knowledge Journal are aligned with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Publishing Ethics Resource Kit for Editors (PERK). Additionally, the journal supports and adheres to the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). If deemed relevant, authors should detail the procedures followed to ensure compliance with the ethical principles and regulations, as described in the Helsinki Declaration.

Commitment to Academic Integrity

OnBoard Knowledge Journal is committed to the protection of intellectual property and copyright, both nationally and internationally. This commitment aims to minimize the omission of relevant data, plagiarism, and cases of falsification. Plagiarism is understood as the unacknowledged appropriation of ideas or information from others, and falsification as the fraudulent manipulation of data. Authors are responsible for the content of their work, including tables, graphs, photographs, and other elements included in the publication, and must ensure they do not infringe copyright.

Peer Review Process and Plagiarism

All submitted articles will undergo peer review and plagiarism detection software, such as iThenticate, to ensure there are no cases of full or partial copying, paraphrasing without proper reference, or other improper practices. If an article does not meet originality criteria, it will not be published or will be withdrawn from the journal, with an erratum issued if necessary.

Authorship and Conflicts of Interest

OnBoard Knowledge Journal follows the authorship definitions established by COPE. Authors must declare all significant contributions and ensure there are no ghost authorship or gift authorship. All authors must sign a cover letter confirming their agreement with these principles. They must also comply with the copyright transfer policy to the journal. Any conflicts of interest must be declared prior to publication.

Research and Publication Fraud

The journal only accepts articles from authentic scientific research. Authors must be transparent about the methodology used, the presentation of results, and the validity of their conclusions. In the peer review, experts will assess the consistency and replicability of the data and results. Authors must have available evidence of the data used in the research, as this may be requested by the editor.

Duplicate Submission of the Article

Articles submitted must not have been or be under review by other journals where copyright is transferred. They must be original, and authors commit to maintaining this condition until a decision is made regarding publication. Additionally, plagiarism, improper paraphrasing, and data manipulation are strictly prohibited.

Retractions and Errata

In cases of significant errors in published articles, the journal will publish an erratum. Corrections of small errors that do not affect the understanding of the study will be made within the first 15 days after publication. Retractions will be published if significant errors or scientific misconduct are detected in the published articles.

Conflict of Interest in the Evaluation

The evaluation process is designed to avoid conflicts of interest. Experts in the article's field, with no personal connection or interests in the work, are selected. The process is double-blind, ensuring objectivity for both authors and reviewers.
