Data and Materials Availability Policy in OnBoard Knowledge Journal

Each manuscript submitted to OnBoard Knowledge Journal must include a specific statement regarding "Data and Materials Availability". This statement should provide details about the location of the data that supports the findings mentioned in the article, including, where appropriate, links to datasets that have been publicly archived and were analyzed or generated during the study.

The statements regarding data availability can be presented in the following ways (or through a combination of them, if multiple datasets are involved):

  1. Public Access to Data:
The datasets generated and/or analyzed during the study are publicly accessible in the repository [NAME], [PERSISTENT WEB LINK TO THE DATASETS].
  2. Non-Public Data:
The datasets generated and/or analyzed during the study are not publicly available due to [REASON WHY THE DATA IS NOT PUBLIC], but can be requested directly from the corresponding author.
  3. Public Domain Datasets:
The datasets used are in the public domain and, if employed in the article, must be properly cited. The reference to the dataset should include a DOI or URL.

Recommendation for Data Repositories:

To facilitate data deposition, OnBoard Knowledge Journal recommends the use of thematic data repositories that follow the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles. Authors should ensure that data is deposited in repositories that guarantee proper attribution and citation.

Acceleration of Publication via Preprints:

OnBoard Knowledge Journal encourages the use of preprints as a means to accelerate the publication of research. Authors may deposit their manuscripts in preprint repositories prior to formal submission to the journal, provided they meet the criteria outlined in the author instructions.

Adoption of TOP (Transparency and Openness Promotion) Guidelines:

The journal adopts the Transparency and Openness Promotion (TOP) guidelines for evaluating articles and journals with respect to the citation and reference of data, methods, computer programs, etc. Authors must ensure that all relevant data and materials are properly cited and accessible for review, ensuring transparency in research.
