The Armada Nacional de Colombia, in its process of continuous improvement, should direct its efforts in identifying a doctrine that will allow a more timely response in legal procedures for the development of peace operations in agreement with the UN within the spectrum of attributes of Naval Power. In this sense, this document seeks to identify the doctrinal needs of the National Navy for a future projected to a possible participation in Peace Operations (OPAZ). This project, developed through stages of bibliographic review, allowed to determine the doctrinal needs for participation in OPAZ.
