El documento presenta un análisis histórico exhaustivo sobre la evolución de la logística naval, explorando su desarrollo desde las primeras estrategias militares hasta su estado en 2020. Su objetivo es ofrecer una visión integral sobre la importancia y evolución de esta disciplina, subrayando las contribuciones de figuras clave como Sun Tzu, Alfred Thayer Mahan, Julian Stafford Corbett, así como contemporáneos como Geoffrey Till e Ian Speller. La metodología empleada incluye la revisión de publicaciones históricas, académicas y militares, con énfasis en periodos cruciales como la Segunda Guerra Mundial y los avances tecnológicos del siglo XX. El estudio revela que la logística naval ha sido esencial en el éxito de operaciones militares, destacando cómo los avances en comunicación y transporte han transformado esta área, mejorando su eficiencia y capacidad operativa. Además, la cooperación internacional se muestra como un factor crítico para la sostenibilidad y efectividad de las operaciones logísticas. Las innovaciones contemporáneas y la integración de tecnología moderna se destacan como vitales para enfrentar desafíos actuales. El artículo concluye que la logística naval sigue siendo fundamental en la estrategia militar y la proyección estatal, adaptándose continuamente a nuevos desafíos y oportunidades tecnológicas ofreciendo una comprensión integral de la relevancia pasada, presente y futura de la logística naval en contextos militares y geopolíticos.
